Consulting

Hourly OpenClaw consulting

Use consulting when you need direct OpenClaw expertise but not a standard setup package. It is the fastest path for troubleshooting, architecture review, skill planning, and implementation decisions that need live back-and-forth.

Hourly rate

Rate depends on complexity. Simple troubleshooting is at the lower end. Custom development and architecture work is at the higher end.

What consulting covers

Any OpenClaw topic is fair game. These are the most common reasons people book sessions.

Troubleshooting calls

Something broke and you cannot figure out why. Screen share with me and I will diagnose the issue live. Most problems are resolved within a single hour-long session.

Common examples
  • Agent stopped responding after an update
  • WhatsApp QR auth keeps expiring
  • Skills throw errors but the logs are unclear
  • Memory file corruption or loss

Architecture review

Planning a multi-agent setup or a complex skill chain? I review your architecture before you build it, catching design mistakes that would cost days to fix later.

Common examples
  • Multi-agent orchestration design
  • Skill dependency chains and ordering
  • SOUL.md and MEMORY.md structuring
  • Database and state management patterns

Custom skill development

Need OpenClaw to do something it does not do out of the box? I scope, write, test, and deploy custom skills. You own the code and can modify it after delivery.

Common examples
  • CRM integration skills (HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Custom API connectors
  • Data transformation pipelines
  • Multi-step workflow automations

Model routing optimization

Using the wrong model for the wrong task burns money and produces worse results. I configure per-skill model routing so each task uses the best model for the job.

Common examples
  • GPT-4 for code, Mistral for chat
  • Fallback chains for reliability
  • Local model setup with Ollama
  • Context window optimization

Cost optimization

OpenClaw can rack up API bills fast if configured carelessly. I audit your token usage, caching setup, and model choices to cut costs without degrading quality.

Common examples
  • Token usage audit across all skills
  • Response caching configuration
  • Model downgrade opportunities identified
  • Rate limiting to prevent bill spikes

Migration assistance

Moving from an older OpenClaw version, switching providers, or migrating between servers? I handle the migration with zero downtime and verified data integrity.

Common examples
  • Major version upgrades (v2 to v3)
  • Server-to-server migration
  • Provider switch (e.g., OpenAI to Claude)
  • Skill compatibility fixes post-upgrade

How sessions work

  1. Book via contact form

Describe what you need help with. Include your OpenClaw version, hosting environment, and the specific problem or goal. The more detail, the faster I can help.

  2. I reply with availability

Usually within 4 hours. I will confirm whether your issue fits the hourly consulting model or if a fixed-price package is better value for your situation.

  3. Screen share or async work

Most sessions are live screen shares via Google Meet or Zoom. For async work (code reviews, architecture docs), I work independently and deliver within the agreed timeframe.

  4. Summary notes delivered

After every session, you get a plain-text summary of what was discussed, what was changed, and any follow-up actions. No guessing what happened after the call ends.

Screen share or async

Live sessions via Google Meet or Zoom. Async work is available for code reviews and architecture documents if you prefer not to be on a call.

1-hour minimum

Sessions start at one hour. After the first hour, billing continues in 30-minute increments. Most troubleshooting calls resolve within a single hour.

Summary notes provided

After every session you receive a written summary of what was covered, what was changed, and any recommended next steps. No guessing what happened.

OpenClaw consulting FAQ

These are the questions that usually come up when someone needs expert help but is not sure whether it belongs in a package or an hourly session.

Book consulting when the work is exploratory, architecture-heavy, or spread across several problems that do not fit a fixed package. It is best for debugging, reviews, and custom implementation planning.

Yes. Consulting sessions can scope, review, or implement custom skills, especially when the work depends on your stack, data model, or deployment constraints.

Yes. Most troubleshooting happens live over screen share, but architecture reviews and code-oriented deliverables can also be handled asynchronously.
